St Mark's

St Mark’s School was founded in 1884. It is located in the centre of Mitcham in an area of mixed housing. St Mark’s is a one form entry primary school (30 places in each year group) with a 26 place part-time nursery. The children who attend the school come from a rich variety of cultures. DfES (Department for Education & Skills) information shows that the children at St Mark’s achieved highly in the Key Stage One SATS compared with children at similar schools around the country. The teaching and support given to children with SEN (special educational needs) was considered by Ofsted to be a strength of the school. The school has been awarded Beacon status in recognition of these achievements. St Mark’s employs experienced, able staff who are well equipped to teach across the primary range. We are a friendly school which works with parents to ensure the best possible education for all the children. Prospective parents are always welcome to visit the school. Please telephone the office to make an appointment. If you would like more information visit the St Mark’s Primary School website.
