With the full return of pupils we are excited to introduce schools with the opportunity to engage in a series of virtual sporting challenges which help young people capture the enjoyment, competition and camaraderie they will mss out by not being able to attend our inter school Merton borough events.
MSSP have developed a Primary Schools Pentathlon Athletics Challenge for your children and pupils to participate in which will run until Friday 11 December.
There are 5 activities for you to try in school with instructions on how to take part below. The activities are Shuttle Run, Target Throw, Speed Bounce, Hi-Steppers and Standing Long Jump.
Please follow the instructions and video demonstration video below to help you set up and record your scores for the activity. There is an additional support pack at the bottom of this page that you can download to help you get set up and ready for the challenges.
Once your pupils have practised the activity they can record their best score using the entry form which has been provided to you. You have until 6pm on Friday 11 December to submit your scores to your MSSP Sports Coordinator.
If you are using google sheets in your school you can access the scoresheet here. Remember to make your own copy before editing the scoresheet!
Complete the challenge. Submit your score. Share your efforts.

- Anything you post will be there forever for anyone to see.
- Will you be happy with this in ten years’ time?
- Make sure you keep things positive and avoid making anything personal about other people.
- Your parent or carer MUST give permission and manage the content being uploaded.
- ALWAYS THINK BEFORE YOU POST.
