Mini Games 2010
After months of hard work, including trials and training, Merton schools sport partnership took 7 sports teams to the prestigious London Mini Games. This included almost 200 boys and girls who attend primary schools in Merton borough.
Children were chosen to represent the borough in gymnastics, football, basketball, rugby, swimming, sports hall athletics, hockey and netball.
This was one of the most successful years for Merton, with the football and gymnastics teams getting the bronze medal, and the hard working basketball team getting a silver medal for all of their hard work. The rugby and hockey teams also reached the quarter finals in their respective events, narrowly losing out.
