Harlequins Training Day

On Tuesday 21st April 2015, Pelham Primary School’s Year 5/6 Tag Rugby team had the amazing opportunity to attend a Harlequins First Team training session at Surrey Sports Park.

Pelham’s Tag Rugby team were invited to this training session as a result of their brilliant performances when they won the MSSP Year 5/6 Tag Rugby Borough Finals. Pelham’s Tag Rugby team were understandably very excited about their trip to watch the Harlequins training session.

Wimbledon Cluster Y5/6 High 5 Netball

The 2015 Year 5/6 Wimbledon Cluster High 5 Netball competition was held at Ricards Lodge and, yet again, every school in the cluster was represented. On a windswept, cold day it would be hard to play flowing netball but all teams turned up ready to give it their very best.

Due to the popularity of the event, the schools were split into three groups, with schools’ B teams playing in their own, separate league.

Wimbledon Cluster Year 3/4 Rounders Tournament

The first ever Wimbledon Cluster Year 3/4 Rounders Tournament took place on Friday 4th July at Ricards Lodge High School.

As the first ever event for this age group, organisers did not know what sort of standard to expect and where shocked by how fantastic the teams were! They had all been practising very hard! Even more impressive was the fact the children understood the rules and were even applying strategies and tactics during the games!

Wimbledon High 5 Netball

The Wimbledon cluster Hi 5 Netball tournament took place on February 23rd at Ursuline High School. With the TAG Rugby cancelled the week before due to awful snow, organisers were worried that the temperamental February weather would affect the event. However the sun was shining and it turned out to be a freakishly hot day (hottest on record for this time of year) which was fantastic!!

Wimbledon Park 'Try' and Succeed

At the beginning of the day all of the teams fancied their chances of winning the tournament, especially as they had all done very well to qualify from their cluster tournaments. The day promised some exciting Tag Rugby and it did not disappoint. There was some fantastic Rugby played and there were some very good players, from many different teams, on show.
