The Mitcham Cluster held its Year 3/4 Football Festival on Wednesday 8th March 2017 at Harris Academy Merton. Ten schools took part in this festival; Beecholme, Bond, Gorringe Park, Links, Lonesome, St Marks, St Thomas, Stanford, Sherwood and William Morris. Two leagues played across three pitches meaning teams had plenty of playing time. Throughout the festival teams played in high spirits with some excellent talent on display.

The standard of sportsmanship demonstrated throughout was superb. Many schools received nominations for our Refspect Award. However, St Thomas of Canterbury won the award with the majority of votes for shaking hands with the players, officials, being polite and showing good sporting etiquette.

Well done to all schools that took part in the football festival. Every team put in 100% effort with all the teachers and players being supportive throughout. Thank you Harris Academy Merton six form leaders for your fantastic refereeing.
