The Morden Cluster held its Year 5/6 B Team Football Competition on Wednesday 8th March 2017 at Harris Academy Morden. Seven teams took part in this round robin event, meaning there were plenty of games for each team. All the teams arrived looking the part in their kits, with smiles on their faces showing they were raring to go. Throughout the competition, teams were very organised and ready on their pitch which made the competition flow nicely.

The standard of football was great with some excellent sportsmanship demonstrated across all the teams. Most teams were nominated for our Refspect Award but Morden Primary won the Award with the majority vote for helping up injured players and shaking hands with all opponents.

Well done to all the teams that took part in the event. Every team put in 100% effort with the teachers on the side-lines cheering on their team. Thank you to the Harris Academy Morden Sports leaders for refereeing all the games, they did a great job. The main emphasis of the competition was to get more young people playing football for their school and having fun, however scores were recorded, congratulations to St Peter & St Paul for winning the competition after winning all their games!
