Wimbledon Cluster Year 3/4 Football

On Thursday 8 February at Dundonald Recreation Ground, the Wimbledon Primary School Cluster Year 3/4 Football Festival took place. With ten schools entered and an amazing seventeen teams competing, everybody was buzzing with anticipation. The teams were split into three leagues where they would play a round robin format and get to show off their skills while having the honour of representing their school. With the event being a festival and no offical scores being recorded, this allowed all players to play without inhibition and just enjoy their football

Wimbledon Cluster Year 5/6 Best Team Football

On Thursday 23 November at Wimbledon Chase Primary School the Best Team Football Wimbledon Cluster competition took place. Eleven schools from the Wimbledon Cluster arrived in high spirits keen to demonstrate their footballing skills and team-work and thereby earn their school a place in the Best Team Football Borough Finals. Sixteen teams took part in four pools, each aiming to secure a top spot in their group to guarantee a coveted place in the Finals.

Wimbledon Cluster Year 5/6 Girls Football

On Thursday 16 November at Wimbledon Chase Primary School, the Wimbledon Cluster Year 5/6 Girls Football competition took place. Eight schools from the Wimbledon Cluster arrived in high spirits keen to demonstrate their footballing skills and teamwork and thereby earn their school a place in the Girls Football Borough Finals. Thirteen teams took part in two pools, each aiming to secure a top two-spot in their group to guarantee a coveted place in the Finals.

Wimbledon Cluster Year 3/4 Tag Rugby Festival

The Wimbledon cluster Year 3 & 4 Tag Rugby festival not only brought out the sunshine in November, but also drew a large crowd who had come to be entertained by some extremely talented and committed pupils. Thirteen teams from nine schools travelled to Wimbledon Chase Primary School to take part in an afternoon that showed off some top quality rugby, amazing respect and sporting spirit amongst the teams and most importantly a lot of fun had by all involved.

Wimbledon Cluster Y3/4 Tag Rugby Festival

The Wimbledon Cluster Y3/4 Tag Rugby Festival took place at Wimbledon Chase Primary School on Tuesday 14th March 2017. The festival was greeted with sublime sun drenched spring conditions, which allowed the 11 competing teams to play some fast-paced attacking rugby for their on-looking supporters.

Even though this was a non-competitive event, this did not deter teams from displaying some clinical rugby in both attack and defence, and it was obvious that all schools had been training hard and developing their tactics in preparation for this event.

Wimbledon Cluster Year 5/6 Hi-5 Netball

On Monday 27 February, the extremely wet conditions did not deter nine schools entering 13 teams into the Wimbledon Cluster Year 5/6 High 5 Netball Competition. Even an early downpour before the start of the competition did not dampen the spirits of the pupils. Once again, we were fortunate enough to host the event at Ricards Lodge with their Sports Leaders officiating all matches and helping to run the tournament.

The teams were split into two groups with schools aiming to finish in the top two places in their pools and thereby qualify for the Borough Finals.

Wimbledon Cluster Year 5/6 Tag Rugby

The Wimbledon Cluster Year 5/6 Tag Rugby competition kicked off at Wimbledon Chase on Thursday 26th January 2017. It was fantastic to see every school represented and 16 teams in total battling it out to represent Wimbledon at the borough finals. Teams were drawn into four groups with the top two teams progressing into the top eight knockout rounds while the third and fourth placed teams looked to finish as high as possible in their respective knockout rounds.
